Laser Spider Vein Removal
Spider veins on the face and legs bother millions of people.
Spider veins (or telangiectasias) are red, bluish, or
purple veins that result from sun exposure, use of oral
contraception, hormone therapy, the aging process, or
heredity.
Advanced laser technology offers an effective treatment
for facial and spider veins.
How does a laser help?
With a beam of light, the laser can deliver a prescribed
dose of energy to the spider veins. The laser "selectively"
coagulates the problem veins while sparing the surounding
areas. After treatment, the vessel slowly and naturally
disappears.
 How
many treatments are required?
Results are seen within three to four weeks, Typically,
one to two treatments are recommended.
Can we be sure this will work on my veins?
This is something that must be determined with each patient
individually, but the majority of patients will benefit
from this treatment.
Is this treatment difficult?
No. This is non-invasive treatment process takes between
10 minutes to about 20 minutes, depending on your situation.
After treatment, there is no down time - which means you
can resume all of your normal activities immediately afterward.
Is this painful?
There is some minor discomfort associated with this laser
treatment. Most patients describe the sensation as a series
of rubber band snaps to the skin. We can often reduce
or eliminate this by cooling the treated area with an
air-cooling device.
Laser Hair Removal

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a gentle, non-toxic way of rejuvenating

wind damage, and light acne scarring. Compared to out
dated forms of skin resurfacing techniques, this procedure
is quick, comfortable and requires little or no recovery
time. It can be used with all types of complexions, and
can also be used to treat the neck and hands. In some
cases the skin will appear red for a little while after

 Mesotherapy
is a procedure that significantly reduces the appearance

How does mesotherapy work?
The medications that are used in Mesotherapy melt the
fat beneath the skin and shrink the fat cells. The fat
dissolves and, as occurs when fat is broken down during
typical weight loss, is carried through the bloodstream
and excreted by the bowel.
Cellulite is caused by connective tissue bands that hold
down the skin, trapping the fat and thereby causing the
"dimpling" effect. The medications used in Mesotherapy
destroy connective tissue bands and melt the trapped fat,
creating a smooth, dimple-free appearance.
What are typical results of mesotherapy?
For Cellulite:
Mesotherapy is a permanent solution that eliminated dimpling
and misshapen fat under the skin. Cellulite is an accumulation
of fat, fluid, and toxins trapped in a hardened network
of connective tissue fibers in the mesoderm layer. The
fat cells inflate, causing a rippling and puckering of
the skin, commonly referred to as "orange peel"
skin. Lymphatic and venous circulation is poor in these
areas. Mesotherapy is used to cause an increase in venous
lymphatic flow, as well as the elimination of fat and
dimpling in the area. In four weeks, a patient's skin
appears significantly smoother.
What is mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is an aesthetic medical specialty, which involves
injecting microscopic quantities of pharmaceutical agents,
natural plant extracts, homeopathic agents and vitamins
into the skin. The Physician selects a custom formula
to treat your condition(s). Mesotherapy can be effectively
used to treat cellulite, body sculpting, weight loss,
and rejuvenation of the skin.

How many treatments will I need?
It will vary based on your personal treatment goals, medical
recommendations, and area of the body, and extent of the
cellulite/fat/skin/weight to be treated. Approximately
one to five visits will be required.
How fast will I see results?
Results vary, according to your body type, treatment goals,
and the severity of your problem. Often, clients report
seeing results within two weeks. Clients with regular
exercise programs seem to achieve optimal results sooner.
Will the result last?
Yes. Keep in mind that maintaining your weight loss and
optimal sculpting result requires consistent exercise
(with cardio and light resistance training) and consistent
food management discipline (emphasis on lean protein and
low glycemic carbohydrates). You may elect to have touch-up
treatments from time-to-time. Although aging is a dynamic
process, you can benefit from mesotherapy as an important
anti-aging and preventive medicine strategy.
Who can have mesotherapy?
Generally, most healthy adults between 18 and 80 can benefit
from Mesotherapy. Certain criteria are in place and preclude
those patients confronted with moderately severe heart
disease, insulin-dependent diabetes, on blood thinners
or arrhythmia medications, immune-compromised and/or organ
transplant recipients, and pregnancy. Cancer patients
in remission must be carefully evaluated in conjunction
with their personal oncologist's recommendations. With
occasional exception, most likely this group is excluded
from treatment. Hypertension must be controlled with medication.
Thoughtful consideration is given to every patient request
for treatment.
Botox®
What is Botox®?
Botox® is a therapeutic muscle-relaxing agent derived
from the bacterium, Clostridium Botulinum. Opthalmologists
have used Botox® for over 12 years for its original
indication, the treatment of blepharospasm. For years
physicians have been using Botox® as a cosmetic treatment
to correct visible signs of stress and aging.
How does Botox® work?
Your brain sends messages to your muscles so that they
can contract and move. Botox® works to block the muscle
from responding to the message. as a result, the muscle
relaxes and the overlying skin remains unwrinkled and
smooth.
What is treatment like?
With a very fine needle, Botox® is injected into the
specific muscle that is contracting and causing the lines
and wrinkles on the face. Treatment is effective, safe,
and takes approximately 10 minutes. The pain is a minimal
"pin prick" and no anesthetic is required. Immediately
following treatment, you may resume regular activities!
How long does a Botox® treatment last?
The effects usually last 3 to 4 months. You will notice
a gradual fading of its effects. The results, following
several treatments, may last 6 to 8 months or more. Botox®
offers extended relief over the course of long-term treatment.
Are there any possible side effects?
With Botox®, side effects, if any, are usually mild
and temporary. Botulinum toxins contain proteins and in
some circumstances, the body will form anitbodies to the
protein. If antibodies are formed, the effect would be
a lesser response to therapy. Temporary bruising is sometimes
experienced. This symptom resolves itself within 2 to
3 days. In rare cases, there can be a slight drooping
of an eyelid or asymmetry of expression. If this should
happen, return to your physician.
What type of results will I see?
Typically, the effect of Botox® is visible in 3 days.
Maximum benefits are reached between 10 to 14 days. Once
the muscle relaxes and the skin softens, you will have
a more relaxed and youthful apearance. Botox® treatments
are not a substitute for the results achieved with a facelift.
The optimum appearance may be achieved with Botox®
therapy in conjunction with a facelift, laser resurfacing,
and skin rejuvenation.
